Semiconductor and supply chain companies thriving in NYS
The future of U.S. semiconductor manufacturing starts here
Semiconductors power our world. They’re the brains inside everything from smartphones and electric vehicles to advanced medical devices and national security systems. Only 1% of semiconductor memory chips are currently produced in the U.S., but that’s about to change. By 2034, one in four American-made chips will come from within a 350-mile radius of the NY SMART I-Corridor – cementing our region as the epicenter of U.S. semiconductor production. The foundation is already being formed through collaborative strategies that are tackling workforce development, ensuring supply chain resilience and accelerating commercialization to redefine the future of technology.
